Is it Wrong to Call God your LOVER?

Isaiah 54:5 "For your Maker is your HUSBAND, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the GOD of the whole earth."
I have come across so many posts on Facebook that are "suggesting or arguing" that it is wrong to call God your lover. Well, if it is so wrong, why would the Bible state that our Maker is our husband? If God is indeed our husband, then our relationship with Him should not have boundaries. We should have the freedom that He has given us, the freedom to refer to Him as our lover.

“For the perverse one is hateful to Jehovah, but His (Gods) intimacy is with the righteous” Proverbs 3:32

What's wrong with calling God my lover? Where in the Bible does it state that I should  not call God my lover. He loved me when no one else did, that makes Him my lover. He died for me that's true LOVE which makes Him my LOVER. I call Him my LOVER because He shows me how to love NOT just myself but others. Songs of Songs is a conversation between two lovers, yearning for each other and praising each other. If you look at it with a deeper revelation, you can say it is a relationship between God and the Church. This is a relationship that takes place in the most sacred place, the Holy of Holies.

“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." James 4:8

In our relationship with God, we should desire more of Him. We should fully express ourselves by praising, adoring, and yearning for more and more of Him. Words are just but one of the way to express your love to God. Our relationship with God must be on an intimate level, in the beginning Adam and Eve knew God intimately and personally. They talked and walked with Him in the garden of Eden. His desires have been to be close to us and us to me, one on one relationship with Him. When God is your lover, somethings can only be felt in the heart than by words. It is personal.

Helping God Out

God is a sovereign God. He is omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (He knows everything), omnipresent (in all places at the same time).
Helping God without His consent comes with consequences. First, let us have a look at Abraham and Sarah. God promised Abraham and Sarah a heir Gen. 15:4 "And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.""

In [Genesis 16:1-2], we find that Abraham tried to help God out by harkening to Sarah's voice and taking her Egyptian maid to bear them children. "Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. And she had an Egyptian maidservant whose name was Hagar. So Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the Lord has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai." Abraham's hand of help to God brought many future problems among his descendants. Ishmael was not the seed of promise, but rather his descendants have been the enemy of the Jews to this day. Abraham and Sarahs' disobedience to God brought them more than what they bargained for.

Up next we have King Saul who tried to help God out; he got tired of waiting for Samuel to offer the sacrifice, and decided to take care of business himself.
(Read 1 Samuel 13:7-14) "
Then he waited seven days, according to the time set by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal...And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you." In his panic, he set off a chain reaction of events that led to his downfall. His intentions were understandable. After all, God had promised him victory over his enemies. Because King Saul did not wait for God's servant Samuel to offer the offering, King Saul ended up loosing his Kingdom and God raised up someone who was after His own heart. DAVID.

Many girls marry complete losers because they got tired of waiting for God to send the right man into their lives, the man God ordained for them. They take their chances with the best available option, figuring they’ll fix him up, the price paid for impatience is very high. GOD DOES NOT NEED OUR HELP. If He did, He would have asked us. He desires our obedient co-operation. If you are going to expect God’s best, you’ll have to do it God’s way. Sometimes we help God out because we lack Faith. And no matter what we do or say, as long as God has promised you something, it will come to pass. But if you want it to pass at God's own timing, let Him do it. DO NOT HELP HIM OUT. For God is well able to fulfill all He has said. His Promises are YES and AMEN. Just Believe in Him and wait for His timing, He is never late nor is He ever early. He comes right on time.
