God
is a sovereign God. He is omnipotent (all-powerful), omniscient (He
knows everything), omnipresent (in all places at the same time).
Helping
God without His consent comes with consequences. First, let us have a
look at Abraham and Sarah. God promised Abraham and Sarah a heir Gen.
15:4 "And behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir.""
In
[Genesis 16:1-2], we find that Abraham tried to help God out by
harkening to Sarah's voice and taking her Egyptian maid to bear them
children. "Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. And she had an Egyptian maidservant whose name was Hagar. So Sarai said to Abram, “See now, the Lord has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai." Abraham's hand
of help to God brought many future problems among his descendants.
Ishmael was not the seed of promise, but rather his descendants have
been the enemy of the Jews to this day. Abraham and Sarahs' disobedience
to God brought them more than what they bargained for.
Up next we have King Saul who tried to help God out; he got tired of
waiting for Samuel to offer the sacrifice, and decided to take care of
business himself.
(Read 1 Samuel 13:7-14) " Then he waited seven days, according to the time set by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal...And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which He commanded you."
In his panic, he set off a chain reaction of events that led to his
downfall. His intentions were understandable. After all, God had
promised him victory over his enemies. Because King Saul did not wait
for God's servant Samuel to offer the offering, King Saul ended up
loosing his Kingdom and God raised up someone who was after His own
heart. DAVID.
Many girls marry complete losers because they got tired of waiting for
God to send the right man into their lives, the man God ordained for
them. They take their chances with the best available option, figuring
they’ll fix him up, the price paid for impatience is very high. GOD DOES
NOT NEED OUR HELP. If He did, He would have asked us. He desires our
obedient co-operation. If you are going to expect God’s best, you’ll
have to do it God’s way. Sometimes we help God out because we lack
Faith. And no matter what we do or say, as long as God has promised you
something, it will come to pass. But if you want it to pass at God's own
timing, let Him do it. DO NOT HELP HIM OUT. For God is well able to
fulfill all He has said. His Promises are YES and AMEN. Just Believe in
Him and wait for His timing, He is never late nor is He ever early. He
comes right on time.
